Squirrel Scouts are aged between 4 and 6 years old.
We are excited to be welcoming our new squirrel drey to the East Preston Scout Group!
Starting a new “Drey” the official name for a Squirrel Scout group is an exciting adventure filled with storytelling, outdoor exploring, making new friends, and earning those very first badges.
The Name: Just like real squirrels live together in a nest called a drey, our Squirrel Scouts gather in a Drey to learn, play, and grow.
The Mission: Squirrels is all about learning by doing. It gives young children the chance to develop essential life skills, build confidence, and explore the world around them in a safe, supportive environment.
The Action: Every session is packed with action. A typical meeting includes active games, creative crafts, outdoor adventures, and plenty of fun.
The Uniform: Squirrels wear a bright, easily recognizable red sweatshirt alongside their group scarf (necker).
We are incredibly excited to start this journey with your young explorers. Together in our new Drey, we will help them take their first big steps into a lifetime of Scouting adventure!
The Squirrels will meet once a week on a Thursday
5.45pm – 6.45pm
